Not sure if something can go in? Call before you load it. We would rather answer a quick question than have you fill the trailer with something we cannot haul.

What fits in the trailer

The trailer holds roughly 10 to 12 cubic yards of loosely packed material. In practical terms, that is enough for a standard garage cleanout, a medium renovation debris pile, or a full weekend of storm cleanup from a Tampa Bay yard.

Heavy material - concrete, dirt, brick, gravel - packs a lot of weight into a small volume. Per Florida DOT axle weight limits, those materials can only stack 12 inches high in the trailer. Call before you load a lot of heavy material and we will tell you upfront whether one trip covers it.

Most residential renovation and cleanup jobs land at one to two tons total, so expect $400 to $500 for the average job.

Hurricane season runs June to November

Using the self-load trailer for storm cleanup

After a storm, most people clean up over two or three days. The self-load option is built for that schedule - chainsaw the fallen tree today, load the debris over the next two days, call us when the trailer is ready. No rush, no crew standing around waiting.

Common questions

How much does dump trailer rental cost in Tampa Bay?

Self-load dump trailer rental from Ready 1 Dump Trailers starts at $400. That covers delivery to your driveway, a rental window of 1 to 3 days, pick-up, hauling, and disposal. The first ton of debris is free. Each additional ton is $100. Most residential renovation and cleanup jobs land at one to two tons total, so the $400-$500 range covers the majority of jobs.

How long can I keep the dump trailer?

Standard rental window is 1 to 3 days. If you need more time, call before the window closes and we will work out what is possible. We do not charge per-day fees within the standard window. If you need a 4th day or longer, we schedule that at booking so we can plan the pick-up route.

What fits in the dump trailer?

The trailer holds roughly 10 to 12 cubic yards of loosely packed material. For reference: a standard garage cleanout, a medium renovation debris pile, a week of storm yard cleanup, or the contents of a typical bedroom plus furniture. Heavy materials like concrete, dirt, or rock are limited to a 12-inch stack height due to state DOT axle weight limits. Call if you are unsure - we can estimate based on what you describe.

Is self-load rental cheaper than a full-service haul?

It depends on the volume. Full-service hauling starts at $100 for one piece and goes to $600 for a full trailer. If you have more than a half-trailer of material ($300 full-service), the self-load at $400 base covers the same capacity and adds scheduling flexibility. If you have a small pile, full-service is usually faster and cheaper. Call and describe the job - we will tell you which option makes more sense.

What cannot go in the self-load trailer?

No paint, oil, fuel, motor oil, chemicals, or liquid hazardous materials. No tires without a surcharge ($2 each). Concrete, brick, and rock are limited to a 12-inch stack height due to DOT weight limits. Everything else that is solid, dry, and non-hazardous can go in. This covers wood, drywall, furniture, appliances, renovation debris, yard waste, and storm cleanup material.

How is this different from a Bagster or roll-off dumpster?

A Bagster is a flexible bag bought at a hardware store, rated to about 3,300 pounds, with a separate pick-up fee starting around $130-$150. Total cost for a full bag typically runs $175-$200 and capacity is limited. A roll-off dumpster from a big company usually starts at $350-$500 for 7-10 days with weight limits and fuel surcharges added after. Ready 1 self-load is $400 flat for 1-3 days with a full dump trailer capacity and no add-on fees beyond the $100/ton overage. The main difference: we deliver the same day or next day and we are a local owner-operated business, not a national container company.
